www.aircrewremembered.com has:- He was in 463 (RAAF) Sqdn Lancaster Mk 1 Ser.No. NF990, c/s JO-Q from RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire at 16:45 6th November 1944,to Gravenhorst..injured, died 25/11/19144 ..commemorated on Runnymede Mem. from www.adf-serials.com.au:- NF990 Mk. I 463 Sqn. 11/10/44 to 6/11/44. JO-Q. ORBS list 11 missions NF990 with the first Flushing 11-Nov-1944 & last Ems-Wesser Canal. The same crew flew both missions. Lost 06-07/11/44, Gravenhorst, all crew became POW's. The crew listed in the ORBS were:- Pilot F/O C J Lynch RAAF- POW, F/Engineer Sgt Haywood RAF- POW, Nav Sgt G Sunderland RAF- KIA, B/Aimer F/S R C Rodgers RAF- KIA, Wireless Op F/S E A Woolmer RAAF- POW, Mid Upper Gunner Sgt S Harding RAF bailed out & died of injuries, Rear Gunner Sgt E Evans RAF. The above explains the difference in the date of his aircraft crash and his death. NF990 crashed onto a road that leads to Lotte, NE Tecklenburg.
